GAZHP funded the shipment of 35 boxes of PPE generously donated by PLL Care Services of Oxfordshire, UK. The consignment comprised 30 boxes holding 200 visors each, and 5 boxes holding 200 masks each, and was expected to arrive in Lusaka, Zambia on Tuesday 27 July 2021.

A community effort against the clock
Collecting the boxes from Oxford to Apex Cargo in Leicester faced a few hiccups, which were thankfully resolved when Apex stepped in to provide transport at short notice. To ensure the boxes arrived in Leicester in time to be packaged for shipping on Monday 26 July 2021, they were collected late on the Friday night and arrived in Leicester just before midnight.
The 35 boxes were placed on pallets and combined with additional PPE kindly donated by Mrs. Grace Chibamba, owner of Addonai Care Services. We are grateful for her contribution.
Our thanks also go to Mr. Mohammed Hanif, who raised £2,100 from his Muslim community network in Leicester to help pay for the shipment of the PPE.
