Are you a university student in Zambia eager to contribute towards positive change for mental health and wellbeing? GAZHP invited students to share their stories and ideas on how silence affects individuals, families and communities — and how we can build a culture of openness and support.
"The Costs of Silence About Mental Health Struggles in My Community"
Entrants were asked to submit an essay of up to 1,000 words in English on the theme above, for the chance to win a cash prize and a place on a GAZHP shadow internship.
Prizes
- 1st prize: US$100
- 2nd prize: US$75
- 3rd prize: US$50
The top three finalists were each awarded a 6-month shadow internship with the Global Alliance of Zambian Healthcare Professionals — an opportunity to gain mentorship and practical skills in networking, advocacy and programs organisation within the NGO space.
